Guatemala mission trip
July 6-13, 2024
Fourteen years ago, Refuge Church Nashville began taking short-term mission trips. This led to a partnership with Shalom Baptist Church to plant churches, make disciples and expand God’s Kingdom in Guatemala. God has opened some amazing doors of ministry:
• More than 750 have accepted Christ through our trips.
• Shalom Baptist Church has a tremendous impact in Guatemala with a network of churches, educational, medical, and social ministries.
• Constructed 3 years ago, the church at Las Conchas is growing and averages 120 people in attendance.
• 150 Families receive food baskets each month through the Hope Fund.
• Shalom School is sharing the Gospel and developing the next generation with 650 students.
Who can go?
• This trip is for all ages. Some go as individuals, and other families serve together.
• Spanish is not a requirement, but it is helpful.
• Participants must be in good standing with Refuge Church Nashville. We welcome other churches, friends, neighbors, and co-workers to join us!
• Minors must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. In case of illness or emergency, this adult would take responsibility for them.
What is the cost?
• All participants are encouraged to ask for prayer and financial support from friends, family, etc. If others cannot go, they can pray and give.

• The estimated price for this trip is $1,400. Cost covers flights, lodging, most meals, and insurance. A $200 non-refundable deposit is due by February 3, 2024. The rest of the balance is due by June 2, 2024.
What will we do?
Our focus this year will be to conduct one-day retreats for the school and ministries of Shalom. We will be working with middle and high school students from Shalom School, and the youth group from Shalom and Las Conchas. We can use a variety of skills on this team including teaching, crafts, recreation, prayer, music and more. Regardless of your gifts and experiences, you will be amazed at how God can use you! There will be a minimum of 3 training/orientation meetings before we travel.
